On a day out in Lincoln I was able to take photos of a couple of people.
My favourite photo is this one since I took it just before she was ready which captured the awkwardness of the sudden encounter of a stranger with a camera.
I took the photo when she wasn’t aware to create work similar to Rineke Dijkstra since that was the technique she used with the adolescents at the beach.
When she got a bit more comfortable with the camera she smiled more. I liked this image of her.
Out of these two images I prefer the first one since it is more genuine and expresses the initial awkwardness of an encounter with a stranger.
